The 2020 Seahaven Business Awards have launched

The awards, run by Newhaven Chamber of Commerce in association with the Seaford and Peacehaven Chambers, celebrate professionalism, creativity, innovation and business excellence.

President of Newhaven Chamber of Commerce Mike Shorer said: “Every year there are many stand-out achievements and all three local chambers are looking forward to discovering new leaders and innovative businesses to celebrate in 2020.

“This coastal strip in East Sussex is an exciting place to run a business, and numerous companies deserve local recognition for their achievements.”

Three businesses will be shortlisted for each of the eight categories – business of the year, business person of the year, best environmental business, best eatery, best customer service, best new business, and the president’s award for best not-for-profit organisation.

The deadline to apply is April 3 and finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony and dinner on May 15 at Jerrom Hall, in Peacehaven.

Judges will include MP for Lewes Maria Caulfield and MP for Kemptown and Peacehaven Lloyd Russell-Moyle.
