Noah is aiming to learn one popular song from every year since the end of WW1 up until 2020. He started at the beginning of October an finishes on November 11.

Noah has a Go Fund Me page called 102 Songs for the Poppy Appeal and has currently raised £1,281. Noah’s father, Lee, uploads the videos of Noah singing each day on the Father Son Fundraising Youtube channel and also on Twitter @FundraisingSon.

Dad Lee said: “Noah and I just want to spread some happiness as well as raise money, and you can’t help but smile when you watch a video of Noah singing his heart out for such a good cause. The Royal British Legion are encouraging people to donate online and this is a great way to do it.”

Noah added: ““I’m trying my hardest with this.”

Jean Rogers said: “Covid-19 has not only disrupted the Royal British Legion’s celebrations of the 75th anniversary of VE Day and VJ Day this year, but now poppy collectors are being prevented from collecting on the streets because of essential government health guidelines.

“It is wonderful that young Noah and his dad Lee are bridging the gap to raise as much money as possible through music. He is only seven, but learning 102 songs in 42 days does not seem to daunt him.”

Blue Peter presenter Mark Curry said: “I hope Noah gets flooded with donations. Flooded...Noah...do you get it?”

Before lockdown, Noah visited the residents at Royal British Care Home Mais House twice a week to take part in intergenerational activities. Residents were able to enjoy his songs on Youtube and it helped to raise their spirits during lockdown.

Lee said: “Earlier in the year Noah raised £8,500 for residents at Mais House by singing 30 songs in 30 days, and with the money he is raising now, that equals nearly £10,000 in four months. Now he wants to raise a lot more to help veterans and current serving members of the armed forces and their families all round the country.
