Storm Ciara: Missing Hastings surfer found
A missing surfer in Hastings was found at Rye Bay after emergency services including a coastguard helicopter scrambled to sea to rescue the person.
Reports from members of the public came in at about 12.30pm today (Sunday) to say Hastings RNLI, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, coastguards and a coastguard helicopter was called to the scene.
Maritime and Coastguard Agency said on Twitter at 2.17pm, “Missing surfer has been found in Rye Bay following search involving coastguard helicopter.”
