Storm Ciara: Tree crashes into lamppost and blocks off busy Eastbourne Road

Storm Ciara continues to cause chaos in Eastbourne after strong winds have uprooted a tree which has subsequently crashed into a lamppost, blocking off a busy road.

The incident happened in Carlisle Road at around 11.30am today (Sunday) however, according to reports from members of the public, the road has now been cleared by East Sussex Highways at around 12.30pm. The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning and expects winds to reach up to 80mph in some parts of Sussex.
