Strange sight on the shore at Rock-a-Nore in Hastings

Clive Vale resident Steve Friend was surprised to encounter this striking Blue Jellyfish on the beach at Rock-a-Nore last week. Steve, who took this photo, said: “It was at least 18 inches in diameter.”

The Blue Jellyfish, which does have stinging tentacles is recorded along all UK coastlines in the summer months and is said to be a sign of healthy and warm water.
