Subway in Hastings town centre re-opens

Entry is limited to four people at a time with social distancing in place. The outlet has also introduced a strict regime of cleaning and disinfecting.

The measures include new directional signs to support social distancing and the supply of PPE to protect staff and guests.

It is operating with a reduced menu of favourites, with the full menu being introduced as and when possible

A Subway spokesperson said: “These procedures will ensure our franchise owners are able to operate and trade responsibly and have been tested in a small number of stores that have remained open to support and serve key workers and hospital staff.

“Recently, our Franchise Owners donated over a quarter of a million Subs to local communities, key workers and those who really needed it. We continued to support the NHS by offering NHS workers 25% off their orders throughout May.

“It’s a small, but important step back towards normality. We’re taking things one step at a time.”

The Subway at Station Approach, by the railway station, remains temporarily closed.
