Support local businesses for £5 as fiver fest returns to Bognor
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
That means there is only so much time left to get out and support your favourite independent shops – and pick up a good offer.
Part of the Totally Locally Fiver Fest, the initiative sees Bognor Regis joining more than 100 high streets across the UK to shout about the importance of independent businesses.

Hide AdTogether with VISA, Totally Locally called on shoppers all over the country to divert £5 of their weekly spend to support local businesses.
“If every adult in Bognor Regis spent just £5 in their local independent shops and businesses, it would mean £4,9million a year going directly into our local economy, which can lead to more jobs, a better high street, a stronger economy and a nicer place to live. It makes you think, doesn’t it?” said Clair Harwood, from the Bognor Regis Business Improvement District
Between four slices of homemade cake for £5 at Good and Fair, High Street, three rolls of knitting yarn at Unique Knit And Sew and a toasted panini with a drink at Pinks Parlour, this year’s Fiver Fest bargains are as varied and creative as ever.
Local businesses echoed that sentiment.
Paul Wells, owner of Unique Knit and Sew on London Road, said: “We’re grateful to the BID for hosting Fiver Fest and we’re always willing to participate in initiatives to boost our business.”

She said: “Obviously businesses are struggling at the moment and this really helps encourage people down towards this side of town, which they don’t really gravitate towards.”
“Independent shops and businesses are what make our town special and unique,” Ms Harwood added.
“Community support for local businesses has been amazing during lockdown, so these offers are to say thank you to customers.”
