Sussex fire crews rescue baby girl from locked car

Fire crews from Billingshurst raced to rescue a baby girl when she became locked in a car earlier today (January 5).

The crews managed to open the car door - in Becks Way, Billingshurst - and reunite the three and a half month old baby with her relieved mother.

A spokesperson said: “Mia didn’t even wake up.”

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were on the scene for around an hour.
