This is why a film crew has closed off part of Worthing promenade

An area in front of Worthing Lido has been cordoned off with film cameras set up, setting tongues wagging about potential celeb-spotting.

Sadly, Worthing Borough Council has confirmed the reality is slightly less exciting - it is the shooting of an advert for a 'major financial services company'.

No A-listers have been spotted so far, but who knows which famous faces could be up for promoting the glamorous world of financial services.

The shoot is expected to take a couple of days, finishing tomorrow, which will leave part of the prom closed.

Alternative routes will be clearly indicated, according to a council spokesman.
