Thousands of pounds raised at Eastbourne Swimathon

Once again the team from the Salvation Army won the shield for raising the most amount of money at the Lions Club of Eastbourne Swimathon held at the Sovereign Centre.

The Salvation Army raised more than £1,000.

In second place was the mayor of Eastbourne’s charity, and third place Eastbourne Swimming Club.

Lions President Alec Stephens said: “What a great result - nearly £8,600 raised in one evening which will help so many charities.”
