Out On The Floor Clothing were contacted, out of the blue, by an assistant costume designer on the set of Gyllenhaal’s new film, Okja, saying she desperately needed a Merc Tan Hemmingway Blazer for American actor.

Thankfully they had one - the very last one of that specific colour and size in stock in the entire UK - and it was shipped out straight away.

Andy from Out On The Floor said: “We are so shocked that our little shop in Bognor has been noticed by people in America.

“Not even just America but people working with film stars. We’re all still buzzing.

Luckily, we had one in just the size. We were able to get one over to her quickly and smoothly, and it was the last one of that colour and size in stock in the UK.”

Andy said the female costume designer was impressed with the speed at which he and step-mother owner Carol got the blazer over to New York, where most of the scenes are being filmed.

And Andy was given another shock when he saw pictures of Gyllenhaal wearing the jacket on set appear on the Mail Online website on Tuesday morning - proof that it arrived in one piece.
