Top of the pots: Mid Sussex Times readers vote on the top ten worst potholes in the area

As the winter weather takes its toll on our roads, you’ve been sharing your pothole grievances with us on our Mid Sussex Times Facebook page, and we’ve relaunched our Pothole Watch campaign to shine a spotlight on the issue. We asked you which roads were affected, and last week we ran an online poll asking you to vote for the worst. Across Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hickstead, Hassocks, Ditchling, Sayers Common, Cuckfield and Horsted Keynes, 32 potholes were nomimated. We can now reveal to you the worst potholes in Mid Sussex, as chosen and voted for by you, our readers, from tenth place to first place: Ditchling Road, Ditchling; Malthouse Lane, Burgess Hill; Royal George Road, Burgess Hill; Hurstwood Lane, Haywards Heath; Junction Road, Burgess Hill; Ardingly Road, Cuckfield, Haywards Heath; Balcombe Road, Haywards Heath; Borde Hill Lane, Haywards Heath; Leylands Road/London Road roundabout, Burgess Hill; and Cants Lane, Burgess Hill.
