Seaford Town Council has announced that it has a vacancy available for one of its West View concession beach huts.

In a statement, it says it is looking for a ‘unique, creative, environmentally friendly, sustainable business’ to complement the beach and which offers something different to the businesses it is already working with.

A spokesman said: “With the days lengthening and the evenings getting lighter, everyone is getting excited for the arrival of spring and summer.

“This is an incredible opportunity for a budding entrepreneur to have their business situated in the hub of Seaford seafront for 2020.”

The four West View concession beach huts, which were launched in April last year, sit next to the seven rentable West View beach huts, close to Frankie’s Beach Café and with views across Seaford Bay.

The spaces are available to trade in from April 1 to September 30 at £200 a month and the new business will take the orange beach hut, formerly home to eco-friendly candle and fragrance producer Billy’s Beach Hut. It will join fashion concession Minnie’s, crystal jewellery trader Ritualise and photography business I Love Brighton.

To apply, contact town council project support officer Ellie Johnson-Bullock by emailing [email protected] with details on the business, photographs of products and a description of how the business will benefit the beach.

The closing date is February 17.
