Tributes paid after 46-year-old Eastbourne woman dies

Tributes have been paid after a 46-year-old woman was found dead in her town centre home in Eastbourne.

Former Willingdon School pupil Karen Theodoulides died at her flat in Langney Road in August last year.

She is believed to have suffered a fatal head injury following a fall.

Her husband from whom she had separated, Andy Theodoulides said, “She was an absolutely beautiful woman, kind hearted, kind spirited and she will be sorely missed. “

An inquest at Eastbourne on Thursday (March 12) heard Mrs Theodoulides had a history of depression and alcohol abuse and had been treated for mental health problems.

Mrs Theodoulides’s sister Jen Wise said, “I just felt like we were constantly fighting for help for Karen and getting no support from the system in times of crisis.”

A verdict of accidental death was recorded.
