Uckfield care home holds bake sale for the Stroke Association

Staff at Hurstwood View Care Home in Five Ashdown held a bake sale to raise money for the Stroke Association.

Hurstwood View invited the local community to join them for a coffee morning where they could purchase freshly made cakes to help raise money for the Stroke Association.

Lynn from the Stroke Association attended the morning to speak to the local community and offer information on the support they can offer.

Residents, their relatives and staff were all very supportive and were there to support the charity and purchase some of the baked treats

Lisa, Activities Coordinatorat Hurstwood ViewCare Home, said: “It was a very busy morning and we were really pleased with how many people came along. It’s for such an important cause.

"I’m very glad to be able to do my bit to raise further awareness and money for the charity.”
