Syd Powis still enjoys a round of golf at Piltdown Golf Club, near Uckfield, and does not let age get in the way of his hobby.
He celebrated his birthday, and the start of his hundredth year, on Saturday, February 1 with a special drive and drinks reception organised by friends at the club.
Syd cut his golf-themed birthday cake and was surrounded by friends, family, and fellow golfers.
The centenarian also featured on ITV Meridian with his three daughters to celebrate the milestone.
