The six-year-old male dog will need time to settle and is looking for a quiet adult home.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager at Dog Trust Shoreham, said: “Once he knows you, he is a very sweet chap, he just needs things taken slowly at first.

“He would appreciate understanding owners that are happy to give him space when he needs it. Once you have spent one on one time with him, he becomes a very affectionate boy.”

Bob is shy and would love a secure garden area in which to relax alone.

“He would like to be the only dog in his new home but can have gentle friendly walking buddies when out and about,” added Tracey.

“Once settled, Bob should be happy to be left at home while the owners pop out for an hour or so.”

Bob walks nicely on the lead and enjoys going for a drive in the car but needs to build up confidence in new situations.
