Volunteers back in action at Sullington Warren after lockdown

Volunteers from Sandgate Conservation Society were back at work at Sullington Wareen on Saturday - for the first time since lockdown in March.

The site of special scientific interest is owned by the National Trust and the conservation society works closely with the trust, and Horsham District Council in managing the site.

Society spokesman Brian Burns said: “Bracken bashing was the order of the day, where it has been intruding unchecked into the heather beds.”
