A village school celebrated May Day with dancing and fun.

All the year groups at William Penn Primary School danced on the special day, celebrated on May 24.

The afternoon kicked off with a whole school dance, followed by the crowning of the May Queen.

The school’s Virginia Stephenson said: “The dances began and everyone has so much fun. The children had practiced hard and it really paid off.

“It was an incredibly special day.”
