Worthing Pride organisers have spoken about the future of this year's event amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The parade and festival was due to take place on Saturday, July 11 - but the spread of the virus across the country has decimated local events as the Government effectively banned public gatherings to slow its growth.

In response, organisers Mike Hall and Pete Jervis said: "As organisers our primary concern is and will always be public safety.

"We are still working behind the scenes and trying to come up with the best plan for this year's Pride and as soon as we have decided on the next step we will let you all know ASAP."
