Your Hastings and Rye Observer is in shops now

As the country finds itself under a second lockdown, Remembrance Sunday this year will be a very different occasion.

That’s why we, along with our sister titles across the country, are inviting all our readers to join us in a two-minute doorstep silence this Remembrance Sunday.

The full details on how you can do this are in today’s paper, along with a special poster inside which people can display in their windows or to hold during the two-minute silence.

Young people in the area who have gone that extra mile caring for others throughout this pandemic have also been honoured.

A special two-page picture spread is in today’s Observer.

Hastings and Rye MP Sally-Ann Hart has also backed the second lockdown. Her reasons for voting for it this week are in today’s paper.

A St Leonards man has also been convicted over a knife attack following a court trial.
