Person rescued from Midhurst fire

Fire crews have rescued a person from an ongoing domestic fire in Midhurst.

The blaze took place at a domestic property in Taylor's Field and was started accidentally in the kitchen, the fire service said.

Tweeting an update, a spokesman for the fire service said: "Update - crews wearing breathing apparatus have assisted one person from the property. A full search of the property continues. #Midhurst."

They later added: "Update - a small accidental fire was located in the kitchen which caused heavy smoke logging to the property. Everybody was safely evacuated without injury. #Midhurst #Fire."
