Laughter the best medicine: Well a new monthly class may provide the answer! VIBELE is a monthly Laughter & Ecstatic Dance Medicine Circle with Natasha Saltzer.

This three-hour class is dedicated to high vibrational transformation through laughter meditation circles, ecstatic dance, (an improvised group dance, where the participant is encouraged to move and express through the body) guided meditation and intuitive creativity. Suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience - open to ALL. No special skills needed. Just a willing heart, open mind and desire to live a more soulful, alive life. The class starts on Sunday September 7 2014 at Pett Village Hall then every 2nd Sunday of the month from 3pm - 6pm at Pett Village Hall. Village Choir: On Monday September 8 the Village Choir will meet again at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

Pett Older People’s Project: POPP on Tuesday September 9 will feature Keith Osborne with Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Pett Gardening Club: At the meeting of Pett Gardening Club, also on Tuesday September 9, Steve Harmer will be talking about the Arts and Crafts movement and its gardens. New members are always welcome at the meetings, which start at 7:30pm at Pett Village Hall.

Harvest Home: Well it’s that time of year again! As we move into September we remember the latter half of 1951 when the nation was saddened by the tragic loss with all hands of a small Hull trawler. In response to a national appeal, Reg Cooke, who was Secretary of the Beach Club and also Auxiliary In Charge of the Pett Coastguards, organised a small bring and buy sale. The local Coastguards and regulars of the New Beach Club have continued this tradition ever since with the annual Harvest Home, although now all proceeds go to support the lifeboats in Hastings and Rye. This year’s event will take place on Saturday September 27 at the New Beach Club, starting at 7:30pm until all items are sold. Items such as garden produce, bottles of wine, household wares, garden related equipment and ornaments can be donated. They can be left on your doorstep on the morning of September 27, when they will be collected by the Harvest Home volunteers. Your support is always welcome at the event itself and you may even go home with a bargain!
