Another event to remember is the Craft Fair at Pett Village Hall on Saturday 12 April, from 10am to 3pm. There will be stalls selling silver, jewellery, soaps, woodmen, cards, art, cushions, button jewellery, hats, turned wood and finger puppets as well as needlepoint, cakes and produce. You can also enjoy lunch while you are there as sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee will also be available.

Church services for Holy Week:

Sunday April 13 – Palm Sunday – Book of Common Prayer, Holy Communion, Richard Barron, Pett level at 8am; Morning Worship, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am, led by Meriel Deasy; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

Thursday April 17 – Maundy Thursday - St Andrew’s Fairlight, Holy Communion at 7:30pm, led by Richard Barron.

Good Friday April 18 at 10:00am – led by Meriel Deasy and the Methodists, starting at the Methodist Chapel and followed by a Procession of Witness to St Mary and St Peter.

On Monday April 14 in Pett Methodist Chapel, the Village Choir will meet at 7:30pm.

POPP on Tuesday April 15 will feature Carol Mellower, a singer. Sheryl Tucker the Nail Technician will also be on hand. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Also on Tuesday April 15 Pett Parish Council will meet in Pett Village Hall at 7:30pm.

On Wednesday April 16 the Mobile Library will be in Pett and Pett Level. It will start at the Church at 10.10am, moving on to Chick Hill at 10:50am and finishing at The Smuggler at 11.20am.

The speaker at the meeting of the Pett Naturalist Society on Friday April 18 will be Trevor Buttle with a talk entitled A Miscellany of Nature. Meetings start at 7:30 pm at Pett Village Hall and are always finished by 9:15pm. Annual membership is £5 per year and 50p per meeting, with visitors paying £2 per meeting.
