At the meeting of Pett Gardening Club also on Tuesday April 8, Matthew Styles will be talking about the no-dig method of growing organic vegetables. There will also be a plant sale and contributions of new plants would be appreciated. New members are always welcome at the meetings, which start at 7:30pm at Pett Village Hall.

Also on Tuesday April 8 will be the Annual Parochial Church Meeting 2014. The meeting starts at 7pm at the Methodist Chapel and whilst you have to be on the Church Electoral Role in order to vote, all visitors are welcome. Why bother to come? Because the church is important to the village and you may wish to hear about its activities and finances.

On Friday April 11 Pett W.I. will welcome Elizabeth Paraskos, Principal Ceremonies Officer at Hastings Registration Office who will be giving a talk about the History of Weddings. As this is something that many of us have experienced, it should prove to be an interesting and informative talk.

Visitors are always welcome at the meeting, which starts at 2:30pm and, as always, a delicious tea will follow the talk.
