Did you know that the Boathouse Theatre Company which meet every Sunday at Pett Village Hall during term times, recently enjoyed a trip to London to see the musical Shrek. 51 members and staff set off on a cold Sunday morning in February from Pett Village Hall and had a fantastic day out. Kevin Barry , Chairman of Boathouse Theatre said “ this is the second trip we have been on with our Sunday group and they are very popular. The trip was paid for by a private individual who wishes to remain anonymous which we are all very grateful for. The members had to raise money for the coach to take us there which they managed to do by organising a raffle at Christmas. We have 35 members who come on a Sunday but 85 members across our three projects , we also meet in Bexhill at Glyne Gap school for our younger members aged 5 to 13, our Sunday group are aged from 16 to 26plus, Boathouse Theatre Arts is for young Adults and Children with disabilities. We are now in our third year and membership is growing all the time. We are also a service provider to Parchment Trust who we provide workshops for on a Wednesday at Pett Village Hall. If you know of anyone who may be interested in knowing more about what we do you can visit us on our websitewww.boathousetheatre.co.uk or email [email protected] or phone 01424 815046”
