Pett

Mary Saint, Pett Road

Pett WI had an extremely successful AGM on Friday November 16. Not only did they elect a new president, Heather Godwin, and saw two new members join the Committee, they also celebrated Pett WI’s 95th birthday in some style. There was a celebratory tea and a magnificent cake, which had been made by Joss Coby, as well as a glass of bubbly to enjoy with it.

In 2013 Pett WI is looking to build on its achievements of the last 12 months, which saw the outstandingly successful Jubilee Lunch as well as a 25% increase in membership. It cannot afford to rest upon its laurels with its centenary just four years away but with a programme of interesting and predominantly local speakers to look forward to in 2013, it should be off to a good start.
