Pett Older People’s Project: On Tuesday July 12 POPP will provide its own entertainment. The session runs from 10:30am to 2pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Pett Gardening Club: This month, on Tuesday July 12, members will visit Merriments Garden Centre, where they will enjoy a guided tour round the four acre garden, after which they can enjoy refreshments in the café and perhaps even buy some plants. Please note that the tour starts at 2pm.

Pett Flower Show: On Saturday July 30 the Flower Show and Fayre will be held in the Recreation Field, Pett, starting at 2pm. The Committee has been working very hard to introduce some changes. Because costs have increased there will only be one large marquee to accommodate both the entries and the tea tent. Instead of a bouncy castle, there will be an assault course on which youngsters can burn off some energy.

For grown ups, along with the beer and Pimms, glasses of chilled Prosecco will be on offer at very competitive prices. There will also be a variety of stalls, including some from local businesses and organisations promoting their goods and activities, as well as those selling produce and cakes.
