Kay Burnett/Merial Deasy, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am. There will be a Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

Pett Sports Pavilion: Pett Parish Council and Pett Sports Association would like to invite everyone to come and celebrate the opening of the new sports pavilion on the recreation ground from 11am on Monday May 2. The sports pavilion has undergone a dramatic redevelopment over the winter and is now a much improved facility for both existing and potential users.

The day starts with a cricket match for under 11s followed by a stoolball game. From 1 till 3pm you can have a go at bowls, cricket, a casual footie kick around the field or even some basketball! Or if you prefer you can have a cup of tea and some cake.

The official opening ceremony takes place at 3pm and at 3:30pm a Pett XI will take on an invited team for the first home game of the year.

Pett Older People’s Project: The entertainment for POPP on Tuesday May 3 will be Annie Cryer with Tai Chi. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:00pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Village Coffee Morning: The Village Coffee Morning takes place again on Wednesday May 4. Starting at 10am Sally and her team will be ready to welcome you with the very best coffee, tea, biscuits and yummy, yummy cakes.

Pett Village Hall Committee: On Monday May 9 Pett Village Hall Management Committee is holding its AGM at 7:30pm in Pett Village Hall. The PVHMC invite all residents and hall users to the AGM. Are you a hall user? Then come along and provide valuable feedback to the Committee.

Could the hall be used more effectively? What could be done better? Do you feel you could make a contribution to the committee? New committee members are always welcome so if you are interested, just come along to the AGM or contact the Committee Chair Ray Barden, details in Pett Parish News.
