Pett Bowls Club: Don't forget that the Club is holding an Open day for the 2016 outdoor season today, Friday April 15, starting at 10am. The Bowls Green is situated in the far corner of the Recreation Ground, behind the Cricket Pavilion.

Church Services: Church Services on Sunday April 17 – Book of Common Prayer, Holy Communion, St Nicholas, Pett Level at 8: 00am. There will be a Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

Village Voices: On Monday April 18 the Village Choir will meet at Pett Methodist Church at 7:30pm.

Pett Older People’s Project: POPP on Tuesday April 19 will feature Just George Sings and JJ Fashions will also be there. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:00pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Mobile Library: The next visit will be on Tuesday April 19 when it will stop outside Pett Church from 12:05pm until 12:35pm.

Pett Parish Council: Also on Tuesday April 19 Pett Parish Council will meet in Pett Village Hall at 7:30pm.

Pett WI: On Wednesday April 20, Pett W.I. will welcome new Pett resident, Richard Smith from Eyemasters who will be talking about ‘What You Should Know About Your Glasses.’ Richard has had over 35 years of experience in the ophthalmic business. This promises to be a fascinating and informative talk and the meeting starts at 7pm at Pett Village Hall.

Friends of Pett Level Preservation Trust: On Friday April 22 the Trust’s Annual Meeting will take place at Pett Village Hall at 7pm. All Friends are especially invited but members of the public are also very welcome. Refreshments will be available as well as a tempting raffle.

The main event of the evening is a talk by Melvin Smith on the Flowers of Spring. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the PLPT and the management of the 24 acres of land on and around Toot Rock, which the Trust owns. It was bought 40 years ago as an asset for everyone.
