Rogation Walk: A Rogation Walk has been arranged for Sunday May 31. The walk, which starts from St Mary and St Peter Church at 3pm, will last 45 minutes and will take in the three Boundary Stones that you have probably never noticed before.

You are encouraged to bring your pets, which will be blessed at the end of the walk and please dress for the weather, especially if it has been wet! On the walk there will be occasional stops to offer a prayer about fields, nature, farming, etc. At 4pm, at the Pett Village Hall Boundary Stone, there will be a short service. At the Parish Boundary stone there may even be Beat the Bounds, a custom that goes back to Norman times, where the Parish Boundary Stone is beaten with hazel sticks to remind people where the parish boundary lies.

Then everyone moves to the Methodist Hall for some refreshment before they make their way home.

Big Village Lunch: There are still a few tickets left for the Big Village Lunch, which is being held in Pett Village Hall on Sunday June7. It is a great opportunity for the village to come together and at just £5 a ticket (that’s just adults; children go free when accompanied by an adult!), which includes bread, salad, a Feast of Puddings and a magical experience, it also represents great value for money. Tickets are available form Phil the Butcher and Tic Toc.
