Church Services: Over the Easter period the services will be as follows:

On Sunday March 29 – Palm Sunday - Holy Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am, Kay Burnett and Merial Deasy. Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

On Thursday April 2 – Maundy Thursday – Holy Communion, St Peter, Fairlight at 7:30pm.

On Friday April 3 – Good Friday at 10am – led by Merial Deasy and the Methodists, the service will begin at St Mary and St Peter and will be followed by a Procession of Witness to the Methodist Chapel.

Village Choir: On Monday March 30 the Village Choir will meet again at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

Pett Older People’s Project: On Tuesday March 31 POPP will feature Sharon Sellens, an extremely good local singer. Antonella Bruce will also be there to give head and shoulder massages. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Village Coffee Morning: The Village Coffee Morning will be held on Wednesday April 1. Starting at 10am Sally and Helen will be ready to welcome you with the very best coffee, tea, biscuits and yummy, yummy cakes, not to mention Phil’s famous sausage rolls! There will also be an Easter Egg raffle at 11am.

Pett Post Office: Further to previous reports, the good news is that the Hosted Outreach service at the Methodist Chapel to restore Post Office services in the village opened on Thursday March 26. The service will be available on Mondays and Thursdays, 12 – 3pm and the same facilities would be offered with the exception of Euro on Demand Bureau de Change.

An “official” opening is planned on Thursday April 9 with more details next week.

Flicks in the Village: Please note that this month Flicks in the Village will be held on Friday April 17 and not the first Thursday of the month. Further details will appear nearer the time.

Easter Art Exhibition: Once again Pett Village Hall will be hosting the big Easter Art Exhibition, which will see more than 30 artists displaying and selling their work to raise funds for the St Michael’s Hospice.

The event runs from Friday April 3 to Monday April 6 from 10am to 5pm. Not only is admission free but also there is free tea, coffee and cake as well as free parking. In addition, for a donation to the Hospice, on the spot portraits will be painted by award winning artist, Barbara Valentine, along with an excellent raffle.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see paintings by over 30 very talented, local artists on display, a tremendous variety of work and a high standard throughout.

Craft Fair: All crafters are welcome to the Craft Fair that is being held in Pett Village Hall on Saturday April 25 from 10am to 3pm. Tables are just £12 so please book early and contact Jeannette 01424 81471.
