Pett & Pett Level

Pett WI: Please note that there will be no meeting this month, as members will be enjoying a Christmas Lunch at The Two Sawyers on Friday December 12.

The Warship Anne: Don’t forget the event this afternoon at The New Beach Club, Pett Level. There will be a Virtual Reality Model of The Anne and Professor Bob Stone and his team will be talking about this project. Admission is free, non-members are welcome and it starts at 3pm.

Christmas Fair: Don’t forget to come along to Pett Village Hall from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday December 13. Held in aid of church funds, there will be various stalls and other goodies, as well as the Village Choir singing carols!

Church Services: on Sunday December 14 – there will be a Toy Service at Pett Church at 9:30 am. Please bring toys to give to needy children

Village Choir: On Monday December 15 the Village Choir will meet again at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

Pett Older People’s Project: On Tuesday December 16 POPP will feature Molly Townson (Soprano) and choir. Sheryl Tucker, Nail Technician will also be there. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Carol Singing in Pett: Providing the road is not too icy and dangerous, there will be Carol Singing in Pett on Friday December 19. All willing singers, wearing their warmest clothes and suitable boots, will meet up in St Mary and St Peter’s Church, Pett Road at 5:15pm sharp to sing their way along Pett Road, Rectory Park, The Glebe and Oakfield. Please give generously, as you always do, and remember that all proceeds will go to the local Surviving Christmas group, to help some of those less fortunate than ourselves.

Carols in the Barn: Once again this year there will be Carols in the Barn at Pickham Farm, Watermill Lane. It will take place on Saturday December 20 at 6:30pm. Feel free to bring family and friends, particularly the young ones. Enjoy the festive spirit, singing along to all your favourite carols in the cattle shed, plus mulled wine and mince pies in the interval. There will be a collection at the end and all proceeds go to Farm Africa.
