Pett village voice

At the meeting of Pett Parish Council held on May 15 the Chairman, Andrew Dunlop and Vice-Chairman, Dr Jillian Green, were re-elected unopposed. Apart from a few minor changes, which will appear on the back of Pett Parish News, the areas of responsibility for the councillors remained largely unchanged.

In his announcements, the Chairman referred to the recent loss of two members of the village: Trevor Hindson and Betty Dymott. Betty, who had been born in the village and spent the greater part of her life in Pett, was a great village character who would be sorely missed.

The Council heard from County Councillor Carl Maynard about the Link Road and Broadband. Rother District Councillor Robin Patten spoke about the need for a parish councillor to take responsibility for general emergencies and also talked about the issue of housing.
