Don’t forget: Pett W.I. meeting at 2:30pm on Friday May 18 in Pett Village Hall.

The annual sponsored Cycle Ride, which takes place on Sunday May 20 2012, starting at the Coastguard Station at Rye Harbour. The start time will be between 8.30-10.00 hours for those who would like to go and watch.

Church Services on Sunday May 20 – Holy Communion, St Nicholas, Pett Level at 8:00am with Kay Burnett taking the Book of Common Prayer; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

On Tuesday May 22 POPP will feature Brian Howard with a keyboard sing a long. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

The next meeting of ‘CreArt’ is on Saturday May 19, 10am to midday. This is an art group for people of any age, who enjoy 2 hours of creativity at Pett Chapel, doing paintings, papier-mâché, clay work and more. It costs just £2 and meets monthly. Contact Wendy 812297 for more information.

This year Pett and District Horticultural Society’s Flower Show & Fayre will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The event will be held as usual in the Recreation Field, Pett and will be take place on Saturday July 28, starting at 2pm. The theme of this year’s Fayre, as you would expect, is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and as well as the usual classes, there are three new ones: Home Made Sweets, Home Made Drinks and Home Grown Odd Shaped Vegetables.

As always the committee would be extremely grateful for any offers of help on the day. The stallholders do appreciate a comfort break and the ladies who serve your tea and cakes would love a hand with the washing up!
