Pett WI and Pett Parish Church are thrilled that tickets for the Pett Big Lunch and Regal Feast of Puddings, which are being held in Pett Village Hall on Sunday June 3, have now sold out.

Don’t forget that POPP is holding its fund raising Open Day on Saturday May 5 at Pett Village Hall. Attractions will include tombola, kurling, Lucky Dip and face painting as well as a variety of tables selling produce, cakes and arts and crafts. There will be a special guest visit from Amber Rudd MP and the event will run from 10am to 5pm.

Church Services on Sunday May 6– Holy Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am led by David Wotton; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

At POPP’s on Tuesday May 8 there will be a flower arranging demonstration. POPP’s runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Pett Village Hall and includes a two course lunch for just £5.

The Rye and Winchelsea Rotary Club is holding the 14th Annual Walk on Sunday May 20. It starts between 9 and 10am and will be a countryside ramble along the River Rother to Iden Lock, then over farmland to Bosney Farm to Iden, returning to Rye through Bowlers Town and Leasam. There will be a choice of three distances.

The walk is in aid of local charities including St Michael’s Hospice and the League of Friends of Rye & Winchelsea Memorial Hospital. All walkers will receive a completion certificate and there will be awards for both the team and the family with the most sponsorship, as well as trophies for the walkers with the most sponsorship.
