Pett WI together with Pett Parish Church are pleased to report that they have been given a grant of £200 from Rother District Council to match that given by Pett Parish Council. The grant will go towards the Pett Big Lunch and Regal Feast of Puddings, which are being held in Pett Village Hall on Sunday June 3, from 12 noon till 2pm. A Service of Celebration, held in St Mary and St Peter, Pett at 10:30am, will precede the Lunch. The service is not only to thank Her Majesty, the Queen for her dedication over 60 years, but also the clubs and societies in the village.

There will be a buffet lunch with a glass of bubbly for the Loyal Toast as well as the Best Crown competition, live music, nostalgia and fun! There will also be a free Jubilee mug for every child attending. Tickets are just 60/- (that’s £3 in today’s money!) with no charge for children under 14 when accompanied by an adult. You can buy tickets from Phil the Butcher or Pett Post Office but as numbers are limited you will need to buy them by May 25. Further details are available in the April edition of Pett Parish News.

On Saturday March 31 the Stir Crazy Club, based in Pett, had a craft stall at the Easter Market held at The Stade, Hastings in aid of St. Michael’s Hospice.  They raised £125.00 during the day, which will be forwarded to the Hospice, and would like to thank all those who supported this event.
