CLEAN UP PEVENSEY: Pevensey Parish Council are organising a litter pick in Pevensey Bay as part of the national campaign to '˜clean up for the Queens 90th birthday' events are taking place all round the country and Pevenseys own will be starting at 11am at the Sea Road Car Park on Saturday March 5th. Its hoped as many people will turn ip as possible to start to make the village look cleaner,but if you want to come then drop off an email to [email protected] so there is an idea of how many will be attending. If its successful then this may become a regular event.

PEVENSEY BAY COUNTRY MARKET: The local Market reopens after a winter break with an array of produce, from home baking, fresh meat and vegetables, plants, cheeses, craft and gift items including wood turning and even paintings by a local artist. Entry is free and there is also coffee, tea and biscuits available. The first date is on March 11th at St Wilfrids Hall Pevensey Bay

PEVENSEY BAY LIBRARY: Its been over a year now since the Library shut although there is the temporary facility in St Wilfrids Hall,. According to a headline in the National Press this week there have been 400 libraries shut in the past five years so there must be lots of communities fighting to get their Library Services back.

GHOST WALKS: Fancy something different to do for Valentines Day, Well on February 13th you could take a wander round Pevenseys less well known side as the Ghost Walks are still running throughout the winter starting every Saturday at 7.30pm in the Cattle Market Car Park, rain or shine!

ABANDONED CAR :Its gone at long last, as the PCSO managed to get in touch with the owner and things literally started moving! The Parish Clerk advised the Council in future to get in touch with Operation Crackdown and Wealden Council which cause mild amusement as the car had been reported for two months and nothing had been done.

PARKING: A few weeks ago the PCSOs were out ticketing the thoughtless parents who had parked on the grass verge in Westham. Why not park in Pevensey and walk across the Castle, there is plenty of parking, the short walk is healthy and you will not be ruining the grass verges.
