Pevensey and Pevensey Bay

GARAGE CLOSURE :The ESSO Garage on the Pevensey Roundabout will now be closed till the end of February as it is changed into a BP Station. The Cash machine has been removed already. So if you are running short of petrol or money then you are out of luck! There is however an excellent Cash Machine locally in the 1066 Stores in Pevensey Bay just down the road.

DUMPED CAR: do dumped vehicles get removed now? The silver Daweoo has sat on the pavement near Pevensey Bridge now for two months and shows no signs of being moved, surely it must be a hazard to Traffic and Pedestrians.

CASTLE COTTAGE :Starts another winter empty and derelict looking. Supposedly the last person who wanted to take over the tenancy dropped out and English Heritage were going to look for another tenant. Well nothing much has happened. Is this just another delaying tactic? The Government and ultimately our taxes fund a building lying empty which could be put to great use in such an important position in the centre of the Village. A Museum, an Art Gallery or lots of other uses have been suggested. Maybe instead of trying to register The Beach Tavern as a potential Community Asset, here’s another building with lots of parking, disabled access just lying unwanted!
