Phantom phone

A WOMAN is convinced she has captured a ghost using the video on her mobile phone.

Vicky Horton, of Galsworthy Road, Worthing, was filming her 14-year-old daughter Chloe playing with the family dog when a ghostly white figure appeared from nowhere on the screen '” and then mysteriously disappeared again.

She says the room was dark and it could not have been a reflection because there were no mirrors.

"I did not see anything at the time," she told the Herald. "The dog did not go berserk. It did not get cold. It was only when we watched the film back that we noticed it.

"We have thought of everything and there is just no explanation. It has to be a ghost."

Mrs Horton said she has lived in her house for nearly 12 years and has never noticed anything strange before.

"We are sure it was a friendly ghost because the dog did not bark. I have always believed in ghosts but to capture one on your mobile phone is just unbelievable."

The 34-year-old, who works at the Environment Agency in Little High Street, is now thinking about sending the spooky footage to TV's Most Haunted team for their verdict.

Mrs Horton has only had the phone, which can take pictures as well as videos, a matter of days. She said it was an early Christmas present and was the same model her daughter owned.

"At first I thought it may have been a fault with the phone but nothing else similar has happened on any of the other pictures I have taken, or bits of video," she said.

"My daughter said nothing similar has happened to her phone either. Lots of people have seen the video now and they can't come up with a reason for why it would happen. It's bizarre."
