PHOTOS: Driver arrested after police chase in Uckfield

Police were called to Oakwood Park, in Nutley, at around 10.40am to reports of an assault.

A man was reported to have taken a vehicle and driven towards Uckfield on the A22. The vehicle did not stop when requested by police.

A number of units pursued the vehicle and the NPAS police helicopter was also deployed.

The vehicle was stopped by police at around 11.10am on the A22 at the Bell Lane roundabout, and the driver arrested.

He is currently in police custody.

There are no serious injuries reported.
