The event has been organised by local musician Pete Prescott to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice.

The day promises to be full of entertainment and games, including a scavenger hunt, face painting and school sports activities such as the egg and spoon race.

There will also be a 50s and 60s themed fancy dress competition for adults and children, as well as a Rock ‘n’ Roll demonstration, plus much more.

Pete said: “I’ve organised the Picnic in the Park in aid of St Michael’s Hospice as they do such fantastic work for the people of Hastings and Rother and have cared for a number of people who were close to me.”

“We are absolutely delighted that Pete Prescott has decided to organise such a wonderful family day out in aid of the Hospice,” said Marcia Dart, from the hospice.

“Pete has been a loyal supporter of the Hospice for a number of years and we are always amazed at how much effort he puts into all his events, Picnic in the Park is no different - we can’t wait for the big day!”
