PICTURE GALLERY: Bad Hair Day in Petworth

PETWORTH did itself proud in the bad hair stakes when people across the town raised more than £2,000 for the children's charity at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Organised by Oz Dallyn, the primary school, Kaleidoscope pre school, family centre, pubs and businesses sported bad hair to support the hospital charity where Oz and Michael’s son Lloyd has just undergone his tenth procedure for lymphatic malformation which means he suffers from fluid filled cysts.

“Petworth has done us proud,” said Oz. “The support was amazing and I can’t thank everyone enough.”

She said one of the main reasons for organising the Bad Hair event had been because whenever she and her family travelled to Great Ormond Street for Lloyd’s treatments they were supported to stay there by charitable donations.

“This was a way of giving something back and making it possible for other parents to stay with their children when they are in the hospital.”
