Held a week after Shrove Tuesday, due to the bad weather on February 9, teams downed tools at work and raced against other businesses in a bid to raise cash for the local hospice. Shoppers stopped in the precinct to cheer on the fundraisers as they ran and flipped their pancakes.

A spokesperson from St Wilfrid’s said, “Congratulations to our friends, Town Property, who won the pancake race, dashing and flipping their way to a pantastic victory.
