PICTURE GALLERY: Icklesham Fun Run
SEVEN year old Icklesham lad Matthew Brand organised a sponsored walk on Saturday in memory of the woman who inspired him.
Matthew, a young member of Icklesham Players, was affected by the death of Players’ stalwart Joan Baker earlier this year and wanted to hold the walk, in her memory, to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice.
Walkers enjoyed perfect weather for the effort, which took place on the recreation ground.
Matthew was supported in organising the walk by Joan Baker’s family and it was followed by a fund raising jumble sale at the Memorial Hall.
