Hundreds gathered at the Lewes War Memorial for the annual Remembrance Sunday service (November 8).
Ex-Service personnel, members of the Royal British Legion and other organisations including the Police, Prison Service, Armed Service Cadet Units, Naval, Army and Air Cadets, Scouts and Guides, and civic dignitaries attended the service to remember those who gave their lives for the peace and freedom enjoyed today.
Although less formal, respects will be paid and two minutes silence will be observed at the War Memorial at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.
