Minnie and Mickey mouse entertained children whilst Haywards Heath town mayor Sandy Ellis helped Santa turn on the lights with the help of the town’s Simon Cowell lookalike.

The Town Council was delighted to see a wonderful turn out for the fireworks display in Victoria Park.

The fireworks were provided and funded by the council to support activities in The Orchards, and attracted the biggest crowds yet as the spectacular display lit up the sky over the town centre.

The Council also funds the Town Centre Christmas Lights along South Road, Sussex Road, The Broadway and at Commercial Square, which include the lamp post motifs and banners across South Road.

This year the council has a new design for the lights which will be up until the beginning of January.

The mayor’s community Christmas tree has also been put up at the entrance to Victoria Park.
