They say the grass is always greener on the other side, but this nosey little fox decided to put it to the test – by peeking over a fence.

Hayley Keogh-Chainey and fiancé Ian Green were sitting in their garden enjoying a cup of tea when the little fox cub popped its head over the fence.

The adorable animal was in the neighbour’s empty garden playing when it decided to climb over and take a look next door.

Hayley, 26, said, “Me and my fiancé were sitting in the garden about 8pm having a cup of tea, with our two cats.

“We suddenly heard a rustle in the garden of the house behind us so I look up and there was this little fox peering over the fence at us, not moving just staring.”

Hayley, an amateur photographer from Polegate, grabbed her camera and instantly snapped the normally shy animal while nervous Ian quickly put their two cats back inside.

She added, “The fox jumped back down to the neighbour’s garden so we went to have a look and saw he was just running around by himself playing.

“He kept stopping to look at us.

“After a little while he ran off and that was that.”
