Service personnel joined members of Aldwick branch of the Royal British Legion, cadets, scouts and guides in a traditional march through the town.

The parade set off from close to the library in London Road and wound its way to the War Memorial in Clarence Road, where a two minutes’ silence and remembrance service took place.

In Yapton there was a large parade through the village on Sunday, which involved local scouts, councillors and residents, before a service was held at the Memorial Garden in Yapton Road.

A number of Remembrance services were held in churches in surrounding villages, including St Mary’s Church in Aldingbourne.
