Fifteeen cubs aged eight to 11 took part in the pull along Worthing’s promenade on Sunday to raise money for the Charlie’s Wish charity and the Martlets Hospice in Hove.

Organiser Mark Noakes, who drives the eight-ton lorry for proms and weddings, said that the public was amazed by the sight. “They thought it was incredible. It was considerably easier than we thought because it has 10 wheels so it rolled quite nicely.”
